It's strange but true: those that are very concerned of being right often end up being wrong most of the time! You can see such people everyday: they are so focused on being right (efficient) that they end up being wrong (ineffective). We call such people busy for nothing!
When you're concerned of being right, your focus is on yourself and not on serving others. You'll become selfish, and people will dislike you for that.
Also, to be right means that you cannot be wrong, and it means that you cannot take risk. We know that those that never take risk end up never being wrong: because they just simply didn't do anything! So by not taking risk you will end up doing nothing!
Furthermore, people that want to be right often close their minds to alternatives. As a result, they are dogmatic, inflexible and often lose touch with modern times.
People that want to be right plan very well, but their plans often fail because they didn't consider other issues, especially other people's interest and feelings. As a result, things will go wrong. Even if in the end they spend much time and money to rectify the problem, people will still consider them as failures because in the first place that failure can be avoided if they just listen to people. Just look at Singapore's most expensive highway: MCE (Marina Coastal Expressway) that created massive jams in its first week of opening and you'll know what I'm talking about.
Not to mention that those that want to be right often argue with people, and people will hate them for that. Sometimes they argue just for the sake of arguing.
If you want to be right, you will be left out: no friends, no success but with lots of frustrations! Who still want to be right now?
