Don't Be Confused with Chow Yuan Fat as Confucius

Chow Yuan Fat acted as Confucious in this movie. The 7 lessons I get from watching this epic: If you hate a person you are defeated by them What the superior man seeks is in himself, what the small man seeks is in others Whatever you go, go with all your heart When anger arises, think of the consequences Looking at small advantages prevents great affairs from being accomplished When it is obvious that goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps It doesn't matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop Confucius 孔子) is a 2010 Chinese biographical drama film written and directed by Hu Mei, starring Chow Yun-fat as the titular Chinese philosopher. The film was scheduled to screen later in 2009 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, as well as the 2,560th birthday of Confucius himself. The film begins with Confucius as an old man, thinking back. Then we see him in his early 50s,

If You Want to Be Rich and Happy, Don't Follow Jim Rohn's Philosophy

Be a student of life, don't just follow what people say.  You have to use your wisdom to not only make sense of what they say, but to apply what they say. For knowing without applying is just useless knowledge, not smart knowledge. You have to take advise from people, but don't take orders.  Even if the order is from your boss or customer, you don't just take the order.  You have to make sense of the order and make it work for yourself too.  Otherwise you are just a slave and not an independent human being.  If you want to take orders, take orders from yourself. Success is not doing extraordinary things, it is to do ordinary things well.  It is to learn a skill with a high degree of precision. Like we all can speak, but only those who can speak well will earn a fortune as a speaker.  (For list of our topics, click here ) According to the late Jim Rohn (America's foremost guru), the most important thing that separates successful people from those that are struggl

The Only Reason They Can Reject Your Teaching

I'm sure many of you have this experience: you wanted to teach your child or staff something, or you wanted to send them for training for you think they lack certain skills.  Chances are that your child or staff will reject your teaching.  They will tell you things like, "I already know what you are going to teach me", or "Let's not waste time on things that we already knew". Many bosses would accept such reason and conclude that the staff or child does not need the teaching.  Is that true? The only reason your staff or child can reject your teaching is that they know more than you.  The only way to demonstrate this knowledge is from their doing and action.  So the next time when they reject your teaching, you can tell them, "I'm happy that you already know what I'm going to teach you.  Can you demonstrate what you know in your work?   If it is demonstrated that you know more than me, I would like you to be my teacher, is that okay for you

How to Be Wise and Not Foolish with 5-Ways Wisdom

We often talk about wisdom, but what exactly is wisdom?  Some people think that following the experts is wise, while others talk about having your own beliefs and stick to them.  There are some that only trust centuries old wisdom passed down from the wise men.  There are also some that discard old thoughts and believe that wisdom needs to be updated to reflect our modern times.  According to my over 16 years of teaching people from all walks of life, wisdom comprises of 5 things: Seeing all phenomena in life as temporary, incomplete and not self.  If you can see things in this totally freeing way, you will have great security and happiness, for now you are not dependent on anything in this world, i.e. you're truly enlightened.  That's the ultimate wisdom! Not any wisdom that's told by someone but true wisdom that you directly see and understand for yourself.  To do this you must have an open mind Ability to listen to other points of views instead of being bigoted

It Starts with Your Perception and Ends with Your Proceed

As we know, a person spends 2/3 of his waking hours working and commuting to/from work. Also, all our education is to prepare us for a better working life.  Because of work, we are able to enjoy the lifestyles that we want.   Yet many people feel unhappy when they are at work.  They only look forward to Friday.  It doesn't have to be this way.  In our training, we teach about these 4 Ps to be Happy at Work: Perceive, Pick-up, Prepare and Proceed. Perceive The first thing is to change the way you perceive your work.  Do not perceive it as work, for this will only bring you drudgery and misery.  Instead p erceive your work as an opportunity for you to learn the most important skill of all: dealing with people .  When you come across difficult people at work, perceive them to be your teachers teaching you the finer points about human relations.  By changing your perception from negative to positive, you will get enlightenment immediately .  Work is no longer a chore but a j
