The Missed Train That Changed My Life 24 April 2025. China Zhengzhou East Station. 3:15 pm. I stood at the gantry, luggage in hand, thinking my journey was almost done. I had just completed a meaningful 5-day trip in Luoyang, and I was en route to catch my flight home to Singapore. My high-speed train to the airport was scheduled at 3:45 pm. No announcements came. At 3:43, I walked to the platform. And… I missed the train. On time, early, and still late.  Just like that. I stood there, stunned. No panic. Just silence. A missed train. A missed chance to visit the Zhengzhou Museum. A change in travel plans. But life — in its quiet wisdom — had other plans. Because that evening, at 6:45 pm, I settled early in my airport hotel room, I opened my computer.
