Best Definition of Love Intelligence: Make People Better than Themselves

In my Love Intelligence talks, I always say this: Validate people. Appreciate people. Celebrate their achievements. And every time, someone will raise a hand and say, “Andy, how to appreciate? These people are doing everything wrong!” Let me explain something most leaders don’t realise. Love Intelligence is not about complimenting perfection. It is about energising potential. When someone is doing the wrong things, I don’t reward the mistake. I don’t praise the result. But I do appreciate the effort . Because imagine this: If you try your best, even though you didn’t get it right, and I say, “Thank you for trying. I see your effort,” what happens to you? Your energy rises. Your heart opens. You feel your hard work is worthwhile. You become willing to improve. That is the power of energy through love. Now imagine the opposite. You actually achieved something. You made progress. And instead of acknowledging it, I criticise you. I make sarcastic remarks. I downplay...

What Type of Training do you Prefer?

There Are Only Two Types of Training in the World: One Shrinks the Mind, One Expands It After 29 years of training thousands of professionals, leaders, and organisations, I have come to a very simple conclusion: All training falls into just two categories: Training that narrows the mind Training that broadens the mind** Most people don’t notice the difference,  but this difference determines whether your organisation grows or gets stuck. Let me explain." Type 1: Narrowing-the-Mind Training This is the most common type of training in the corporate world today. It teaches one method, one formula, one fixed way of seeing the world. The trainer insists “This is the right way,” and everything else is dismissed. It’s training designed to create compliance, not creativity. This type of trainer is often very sure of himself, too sure, in fact. They love to position themselves as gurus , but many end up behaving like “sukus” (the Malay word for crazy). Narrowing-t...

Narrowing the Mind vs Broadening the Mind Training

There are 2 types of training in this world: Narrowing the Mind and Broadening the Mind Training.  Type 1: Narrowing the Mind Training This type of training narrows the mind; that is, the mind becomes narrower after the training.  By 'mind' here I mean the thinking, both conscious and non-conscious.   Narrowing the Mind Training, instead of letting the trainee know what the possibilities are, restricts him to fewer possibilities.  For example, some corporate trainers teach people only a certain fixed way of doing things and disregard other schools of thought.   They are dogmatic and usually claim to be 'gurus' or some form of special intellectual people.  In my opinion, these people are 'sukus', not gurus.  ('Suku' is a Malay word for stupid) Type 2: Broadening the Mind Training Many trainees don't like this type of training, for they are given so many possibilities and everything is okay.  Some will ask for model answers.   Mo...

How LQ Help Humans Survive and Thrive

How can LQ (Love Intelligence) help humans survive and thrive? LQ is not just “soft skills.” LQ is the ultimate human advantage in an AI world. Here’s why: A. LQ strengthens the one thing AI cannot replace — emotional connection Caregiving, teaching, leadership, teamwork, counselling, customer relations… These roles depend on trust , empathy, intuition, and presence. LQ teaches: How to connect deeply with people How to influence without force How to feel what people need How to build trust instantly This is the new currency of work. B. LQ unlocks creativity — the rarest skill in the AI era AI can create. But AI cannot originate from the heart . LQ activates: Imagination Courage Play Authentic self-expression Creativity without heart is empty. Creativity with LQ is unstoppable. C. LQ improves critical thinking, judgment, and wisdom Critical thinking requires: Self-awareness Emotional neutrality Ability to balance logic and intuition ...

Bills Gates said Creativity, Caregiving and Critical Thinking will Survive the AI Era

Why LQ (Love Intelligence) Is the Human Advantage in the Age of AI — Insights from Bill Gates & Ancient Chinese Wisdom Every day, the world is reminded that AI is growing faster than our ability to understand it. Bill Gates recently stated that only three categories of jobs will remain safe as AI evolves: Creative work Caregiving and empathy-driven work Critical thinking and leadership He’s right, but the deeper question is: What do these three categories have in common? They all require Love Intelligence (LQ):  the uniquely human ability to feel, connect, empathize, imagine, and act with meaning. The Real Scarcity in the AI Era Isn’t Computing Power, It’s Humanity AI can replicate skills. AI can generate content. AI can even simulate emotions. But it cannot:  Build trust,  Inspire hearts,  Sense unspoken feelings,  Create meaning,  Take moral responsibility and  Love These are LQ-powered capacities. 1. Creativity: LQ Unlocks the Imag...

Engineer woes: AI can do thinking for me

Last month I was invited to speak to a group of young engineers. Before I went up, someone flashed this slide on the screen, the one with all the “future skills” we need. Creative thinking, analytical thinking, AI literacy, systems thinking, ethics, collaboration. Everyone nodded as if these were superpowers only AI can give them. One boy whispered to his friend, “Now Gemini 3.0 and ChatGPT 5.1 can do all this. What’s left for us?” I looked at him and smiled. “Let me tell you something.” In 2024, there was a project manager I coached. Brilliant guy, technically perfect. He used every tool, AI, data, dashboards, automation, yet his team was falling apart. Deadlines slipped, people avoided him, tension filled the room. One day he said to me, “Andy, I don’t understand. I have all the skills. Why is nothing working?” I asked him one question: “When was the last time you showed someone you cared?” He went quiet. The next week, he tried something simple. He asked a stressed teammate, “Are yo...

You'll Kill Yourself when You Think AI Can Do Everything For You

The Lie Behind “AI Can Do Everything for You” Every day, social media is flooded with impressive claims: “AI writes in one minute what used to take a week.” “AI designs, analyzes, and even makes decisions faster than any human.” “Use AI or be replaced by it.” At first glance, it sounds smart. Efficient. Even inevitable. But there’s a dangerous flaw in this thinking. It’s not that AI can do everything. It’s that you stop doing anything. When You Stop Thinking, You Start Disappearing If you blindly follow what AI produces, without thinking, without reflecting, without questioning,  you slowly surrender your uniqueness. Your identity dissolves into machine-made content. That’s how people become swayed by influencers. That’s how society becomes manipulated by narratives. That’s how we lose ourselves—not because of AI, but because we forget to think, feel, or question at all. It’s Okay to Not Use AI for Everything There’s nothing wrong with writing a speech yourself. There’s nothing wro...

I Look At My Son Differently like how I look at Training

People look at me at sixty-two. Still active. Still speaking. Still training. Still looking for business. They ask me, “Andy, when are you going to stop? Isn’t AI doing your job better? AI can create content, deliver content, translate content into 120 languages. Do you still think you’re relevant?” I always smile. I don’t argue. I ask them one simple question: “Do you love your child… or do you just want your child?” Because wanting someone and loving someone… are two different worlds. Let me share a small story. Years ago, my youngest son was at his naughtiest stage. He refused instructions, talked back, challenged everything. I would scold him, threaten him, push him harder. And the more I pushed, the more rebellious he became. Then one day, after a meditation course, something shifted in me. I looked at him — really looked — and for just one second, I held him in my heart with love instead of frustration. Immediately, he sensed it. He asked, “Daddy… what’s wrong?” I said, “Nothing ...

Love Intelligence: The Skill for an Unshakeable Life

Everyone is talking about AI. People fear losing jobs, losing relevance, losing their edge. But let me tell you something: The greatest risk today is not AI. The greatest risk is a human heart that forgets how to love . Because when love dies, energy drops, creativity disappears, and life becomes mechanical. Not long ago, someone asked me, “Andy, why do your students keep returning to your classes even after 20 years?” My answer shocked them. They don’t come for the content. They come for connection . They come to feel seen . They come to feel loved . Adults are not hungry for information. They are hungry for inspiration, courage and hope. And only love can deliver that. Let me give you the core of Love Intelligence. 1. Care — See people, not just problems. When you show genuine care, people trust you.  I conduct lessons even when the attendance falls below the minimum attendance, and I hardly make money from it.  2. Courage — Say the truth with kindnes...

Love Intelligence: The Hidden Power That AI Can Never Replace

Many people today are worried about the future. AI is getting smarter. The world is moving faster. Stress is rising everywhere. And people ask me, “Andy… in a world like this, what can we still rely on?” My answer is very simple. There is only one thing that has never failed humanity in 5,000 years. Only one energy that can calm the mind, strengthen the heart, and transform a life. Only one power that even AI can never replace. That power is love,  but not the romantic love we see in movies. I am talking about Love Intelligence … the skill of leading your life with Care, Courage and Connection. Let me share a very personal moment. In 2023, when I was going through one of the most difficult seasons of my life, emotionally and financially, I met a teacher who asked me a question I will never forget. “Andy, when did you stop loving your own future?” I was shocked. I had spent so much time worrying about the future… that I had forgotten to love it. That question woke ...

Why LQ Is Stronger Than IQ, EQ, and AQ in the AI Era

In today’s AI-driven world, IQ, EQ, and AQ can all be replicated or enhanced by technology , but Love Intelligence (LQ) cannot. IQ (Intelligence) AI already surpasses human IQ in: processing power memory calculation analysis Anything based on IQ becomes automated. EQ (Emotional Recognition) AI can simulate empathy: detect emotions mirror tone generate supportive responses But simulation is not the same as sincerity. AQ (Adaptability) AI adapts instantly to: new data new patterns new environments AI learns faster than humans. But AI cannot do LQ — and never will. Love Intelligence (LQ) is the one capacity that requires a human heart , not algorithms. LQ involves: genuine care real trust moral courage human presence meaningful connection emotional safety intuitive understanding These are not skills. They are human intentions , and no machine has intentions. Summary IQ = replaced by AI EQ = simulated by AI...
