How to Re-Place AI, and Not Be Replaced by AI — with Yijing Wisdom

1. Yijing Teaches “Know the Flow Before You Act” (先知而后行)

AI acts fast, but it doesn’t feel the flow.
Humans guided by Yijing sense the timing and energy of situations — knowing when to act, how to act, and when not to act.

Yijing helps you detect the Qi movement behind events — whether energy is rising, stabilizing, or declining — so your decisions are in rhythm with the invisible current.
When you act in flow, AI becomes your tool of timing, not your master of action.

🧭 Application:
Use Yijing principles like the 64 Hexagrams or Yin–Yang transitions to decide what to automate, what to humanize, and what to pause — before technology makes the choice for you.

2. Yijing Reminds Us: The Human Mind is Yin–Yang, AI is Only Yang

AI represents pure Yang — logic, computation, and speed.
But Yijing shows that without Yin — intuition, empathy, reflection — pure Yang burns out or collapses.

To re-place AI, leaders must bring back Yin:

  • Pause to sense energy, not just process data

  • See patterns, not just results

  • Feel the meaning behind the metrics

🧭 Application:
In decision meetings, don’t let the algorithm have the final say. Use Yijing-inspired reflection:

“What unseen element might this data not reveal?”
“Which hexagram energy best describes this moment — push, wait, or transform?”

3. Yijing Reveals Patterns — AI Predicts Trends

AI is excellent at predicting what has happened before, but blind to what has never happened yet.
Yijing, through the Changing Lines, maps the potential of change — the future before it appears.

When you consult Yijing, you train your intuition to see emerging energy shifts — the why behind the data.
This pattern-seeing ability lets you guide AI, not be guided by it.

🧭 Application:
When launching new products, use Yijing to test energy alignment — is this project supported by Heaven (timing), Human (team), and Earth (resources)? AI can’t read Qi, but you can.

4. Yijing Connects Technology with Purpose

AI optimizes efficiency. Yijing optimizes alignment.
AI can tell you how to reach your goal faster, but only Yijing helps you ask if it’s the right goal.

By practicing Yijing, you align your career, business, and technology use with Dao (The Way) — ensuring that progress still serves humanity, not the other way around.

🧭 Application:
Before adopting a new AI system or workflow, ask the Yijing question:

“Does this innovation bring harmony (He), or does it create imbalance (Bu He)?”
If it brings imbalance, pause — or re-design it.

5. Yijing Makes You the Master, Not the Machine

When you apply Yijing daily — reading signs, sensing energy, aligning Yin–Yang — you build awareness intelligence (心智), not just artificial intelligence.
That makes AI your servant, not your successor.

The one who understands change (易) will never fear being changed.

🌟 In Summary

  • AI manages information. Yijing manages transformation.

  • AI gives you answers. Yijing gives you insight.

  • AI can replicate your work. Yijing elevates your wisdom.

When you master Yijing, you won’t compete with machines — you’ll command them.
That’s how you re-place AI… and never be replaced by it.

If Not You, Who Else?

I learnt this very powerful 5-word phrase from Singapore's highest ever box-office movie ever: "Ah Boys to Men II". In one scene, the recruits were about to start their 3-day field camp.  Their Officer-in-Command asked them, "Before we moved out, anybody not feeling well?"  All the soldiers replied loudly, "No Sir!!!" "Gentlemen", continued the Officer, "Every time the training gets tougher, one thought comes to your mind, 'Why Must I Serve National Service?' "My answer to you is, 'If Not You, Then Who Else?'" Wow!  What a powerful phrase!  If Not You, Who Else may mean: You are the most suitable person, and we can't find anyone better than you.  This is appreciation at the highest level How can you push this responsibility to someone else? I am making a request to you specifically, please don't reject my request Can you find me another person more suitable than you? Please refer me anot...

How I Became a Fortune Teller: Leveraging NLP, Fear and Greed, and Motivational Theories

Becoming a fortune teller wasn’t part of my childhood dreams. It started as an experiment, fueled by my curiosity about human behavior and the subtle forces that drive our decisions. Over time, what began as a study of psychology and human interaction evolved into an unexpected career—one where I use the tools of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), the primal drivers of fear and greed, and motivational theories to help people uncover their paths. The First Step: Understanding the Human Psyche I was always fascinated by why people do what they do. During my university years, I studied psychology, particularly the works of Abraham Maslow, B.F. Skinner, and Victor Vroom. Their theories provided insights into motivation, reinforcement, and decision-making. But I wanted to move beyond the academic realm and see how these theories worked in real life. Around this time, I discovered NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). This framework for understanding communication and behavior is based on the...
