SAY Formula for Success

The S.A.Y. Formula for Inner Power
By Andy Ng, Speaker • Trainer • Coach

Tony Robbins once said, “It is our state of mind that determines our power.”
And truly, when we feel powerful inside, we can create wonders outside.

After 29 years of training, coaching, and speaking, I’ve realized one timeless truth:
When we S.A.Y., we awaken our inner power.

S stands for SuperME
We are not our Small Me, not our Survivor Me.
We are SuperME — not limited by our titles, roles, or even our past.
Each of us is using less than 1% of our true potential.
That’s why my company’s motto is “Harness the Potential in People.”
Because when you connect to your Super Me, you unlock your limitless self.

A stands for the Art of War.
Real power is never about fighting harder — it’s about knowing deeper.
Sun Tzu said: “Know yourself and know your opponent, and in all your battles, you will never be in danger.”
So start by knowing yourself — your passions, your values, your true dreams.
Write them down. Own them.
When you are clear, your strategy becomes unstoppable.

Y stands for Yijing (I Ching) — the Way of Flow.
Once you awaken your SuperME and know your strategy, you must execute in harmony.
Yijing teaches us: all creation begins with a single thought.
From that thought comes movement — the dance of Yin and Yang.
When you act, act in both Yin and Yang:
Do something that moves you forward, and something that protects your foundation.

Follow the wisdom of the 8 Trigrams:
  • Qian (Universe): Be creative and expansive.
  • Kun (Earth): Be receptive and grounded.
  • Kan (Water): Overcome difficulties with resilience.
  • Li (Fire): Burn bright with clarity and passion.
  • Xun (Wind): Communicate with grace and influence.
  • Zhen (Thunder): Take bold action.
  • Gen (Mountain): Stay steady and reflective.
  • Dui (Lake): Work with joy and openness.
When you live by S.A.Y. — SuperME, Art of War, and Yijing —
you align your power, your purpose, and your path.

So my friends, remember this:
You are far more powerful than you think.
You are not waiting for the right moment — you are the moment.
Activate your SuperME, apply your Art of War, and live the Yijing way —
and you will not just achieve success…
You will flow with success.

If Not You, Who Else?

I learnt this very powerful 5-word phrase from Singapore's highest ever box-office movie ever: "Ah Boys to Men II". In one scene, the recruits were about to start their 3-day field camp.  Their Officer-in-Command asked them, "Before we moved out, anybody not feeling well?"  All the soldiers replied loudly, "No Sir!!!" "Gentlemen", continued the Officer, "Every time the training gets tougher, one thought comes to your mind, 'Why Must I Serve National Service?' "My answer to you is, 'If Not You, Then Who Else?'" Wow!  What a powerful phrase!  If Not You, Who Else may mean: You are the most suitable person, and we can't find anyone better than you.  This is appreciation at the highest level How can you push this responsibility to someone else? I am making a request to you specifically, please don't reject my request Can you find me another person more suitable than you? Please refer me anot...

How I Became a Fortune Teller: Leveraging NLP, Fear and Greed, and Motivational Theories

Becoming a fortune teller wasn’t part of my childhood dreams. It started as an experiment, fueled by my curiosity about human behavior and the subtle forces that drive our decisions. Over time, what began as a study of psychology and human interaction evolved into an unexpected career—one where I use the tools of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), the primal drivers of fear and greed, and motivational theories to help people uncover their paths. The First Step: Understanding the Human Psyche I was always fascinated by why people do what they do. During my university years, I studied psychology, particularly the works of Abraham Maslow, B.F. Skinner, and Victor Vroom. Their theories provided insights into motivation, reinforcement, and decision-making. But I wanted to move beyond the academic realm and see how these theories worked in real life. Around this time, I discovered NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). This framework for understanding communication and behavior is based on the...
