Daily CEO Tools

Daily LQ Tools: The CEO Method

The simplest and most powerful way to practise Love Intelligence every day.

The CEO Method turns Love Intelligence into daily habits that strengthen your clarity, confidence, influence, leadership energy, and decision-making.

These tools take only minutes a day, but the results compound rapidly.

C – Care, Courage, Connection

E – Energy, Empathy, Execution

O –Observe, Organise, Optimize

C – The 3Cs: Care, Courage, Connection

Your Daily Leadership Anchor

Every morning, check yourself against the 3Cs.
1. Care – Lead with sincerity
Care does not mean being soft — it means being real.
When people feel your sincerity, they naturally trust you, listen to you, and support your decisions.
“Who needs my care today — a colleague, customer, or even myself?”

2. Courage – Do what is right, not what is easy

Without courage, care becomes weak.
With courage, love becomes strong.
“What is the difficult thing I must not avoid today?

3. Connection – Build trust every day
Connection is built through small daily behaviours: listening, understanding, checking-in, and appreciating others.
“How will I build or strengthen at least one meaningful connection today?”

E – The 3Es: Energy, Empathy, Execution
How to lead with heart AND results

1. Energy – Protect your state
If you are calm, people feel safe.
If you are stressed, people feel tense.
“What emotional energy am I bringing into the room?”

2. Empathy – Understand before influencing

It is about understanding their world, fears, motivations, and pressures.
Empathy lowers resistance and opens the door to influence.
“Have I understood their reality before expecting them to understand mine?”

3. Execution – Take aligned action
Love Intelligence makes execution smoother because people willingly cooperate when they feel cared for and understood.
“What is the one action today that brings the biggest impact?”

O – The 3Os: Observe, Organise, Optimize
The LQ approach to clarity and continuous improvement

1. Observe – See things as they truly are

It is the foundation of good judgment.
“What is actually happening, not what I assume is happening?”

2. Organise – Create order out of chaos
Organising your thoughts, tasks, and priorities gives you mental clarity.
“What must I prioritise first, and what can I remove?”

3. Optimize – Make today better than yesterday
Every day offers a chance to improve processes, skills, communication, and relationships.
“What is one thing I can improve today?”

Why the CEO Method Works
1. You become more confident
2. You become more trusted
3. You become more productive
It transforms Love Intelligence from an idea into a daily leadership habit — one that strengthens your influence, improves your decisions, and elevates your results every day.

The method uses three pillars:

These three behaviours form the heart of Love Intelligence.

  • Care means you enter every interaction with presence, patience, and goodwill.
  • Courage is the power to speak truth, face difficult situations, and take necessary action even when inconvenient.
  • Connection is the glue that makes people follow, cooperate, and stay loyal.

Love Intelligence is not only emotional — it is also deeply practical.

A leader’s emotional energy becomes the team’s emotional climate.

  • Empathy is not about agreeing with people.
  • Great ideas and good intentions mean nothing without execution.

These steps keep your mind clear, your thinking sharp, and your day productive.

Observation removes distortion, assumptions, and emotional noise.

  • A messy environment leads to messy thinking.

Love Intelligence is growth-oriented.

When you practise these 9 tools daily, three things happen:

Because clarity, purpose, and courage increase your inner stability.

People feel your sincerity, consistency, and emotional maturity.

Because you cut noise, focus on what matters, and execute with heart and clarity.

This CEO method is simple, repeatable, and powerful.

What an Executive Coach and Business Coach Does

The Secret Under the Mattress: Why would a 79-year Man Bet So Big on 4D?

It was 2007 when we discovered his secret. While moving my father’s mattress, we found them: heaps and heaps of Singapore Pools 4D tickets. They were stacked in layers, a paper trail of lost hopes. What shocked us most wasn’t just the volume, but the stakes. He wasn’t betting a few dollars for fun. He was punting hundreds of dollars per draw—nearly ten times a month. At the time, my siblings and I were furious. Our father was a 79-year-old retiree. We wondered, with a mix of anger and confusion, why a man at his stage of life would need to win such "big money." What was he going to do with the money? We saw it as a reckless habit, a sign of poor judgment in his final years.  Some of us would say, "If I were to give him money to buy 4D, why don't I use the money and buy 4D myself?  At least I have better discipline".  It has taken me two decades, and the experience of raising my own three grown-up children, to finally see the truth that was hidden under that matt...

Head Bleeding when the Chair Falls

The Weight of Silence: What Were We Really Arguing About? My earliest memories are punctuated by the sound of shouting. In 1970, when I was barely 6 years old, I stood as a small witness to the fierce quarrels between my father and my late eldest brother Kah Yang (he passed away in 1971 at the age of 17). As I grew up, these contradictions became the soundtrack of our lives, usually centered around our family's shoe shop and clothing stalls in Chinatown. In the court of family opinion, the verdict was almost always the same: my father was "wrong." He was judged as a man who didn't fulfill his role, who wasn't "burdening" enough for the family’s success. But as I look back from the vantage point of 2026, I have to ask: Was that actually true? Let me finally put to rest what my father did right: the truths that were buried under decades of criticism: Unseen Labor: He worked grueling, long hours. I remember him hauling boxes of goods and equipment to set u...
