Hainan: Tax Free Haven for China and the World

How Hainan’s Customs Opening Will Affect Our Livelihood from 2026 — and Why Love Intelligence (LQ) Matters

From 19 Dec 2025 onwards, the full opening of Hainan’s Customs regime will quietly but profoundly reshape how people work, compete, and earn a living across Asia — including Singapore.

Hainan is no longer just a tourist island.

With its Free Trade Port status fully operational, it will become a low-tax, low-barrier, high-speed economic zone attracting capital, talent, brands, and digital businesses.

  1. Income tax is capped at 15%, so is corporate tax.
  2. Goods entering Hainan is tax-free, and if they are re-exported into China, there is no tax as long as the value-add is 30% of more.

Goods, services, data, and money will move faster and cheaper. Competition will intensify, not only between companies, but between people.

For many professionals, this means one uncomfortable reality:

1. Skills that relied on protection, location, or credentials alone will lose value.

2. Routine work will be automated or relocated. Price competition will increase. Employers will expect more output with fewer people. Job security will no longer come from loyalty or tenure, but from human value that cannot be easily replaced.

This is where Love Intelligence (LQ) becomes critical.

LQ is not about being emotional or soft. It is about developing the uniquely human abilities that thrive when borders open and systems accelerate: trust, care, courage, clarity, influence, and connection.

In a world shaped by Hainan’s opening:

1. Professionals with strong LQ will be trusted across cultures and markets

2. Leaders with LQ will align teams even under pressure and uncertainty

3. Entrepreneurs with LQ will build loyalty, not just transactions

4. Service providers with LQ will stand out when price and speed become commodities

When competition increases, people choose who they trust.

When uncertainty rises, teams follow leaders who care and stay calm.

When systems move faster, those with clarity and connection move ahead.

Hainan’s Customs opening will create opportunities — but only for those who upgrade how they think, lead, and relate. Technical skills may get you into the game. Love Intelligence keeps you relevant, valuable, and resilient.

The future will reward those who are not just smart, but deeply human.

In 2026 and beyond, LQ will not be a “nice to have.”

It will be a livelihood skill.

How I Became a Fortune Teller: Leveraging NLP, Fear and Greed, and Motivational Theories

Becoming a fortune teller wasn’t part of my childhood dreams. It started as an experiment, fueled by my curiosity about human behavior and the subtle forces that drive our decisions. Over time, what began as a study of psychology and human interaction evolved into an unexpected career—one where I use the tools of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), the primal drivers of fear and greed, and motivational theories to help people uncover their paths. The First Step: Understanding the Human Psyche I was always fascinated by why people do what they do. During my university years, I studied psychology, particularly the works of Abraham Maslow, B.F. Skinner, and Victor Vroom. Their theories provided insights into motivation, reinforcement, and decision-making. But I wanted to move beyond the academic realm and see how these theories worked in real life. Around this time, I discovered NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). This framework for understanding communication and behavior is based on the...

If Not You, Who Else?

I learnt this very powerful 5-word phrase from Singapore's highest ever box-office movie ever: "Ah Boys to Men II". In one scene, the recruits were about to start their 3-day field camp.  Their Officer-in-Command asked them, "Before we moved out, anybody not feeling well?"  All the soldiers replied loudly, "No Sir!!!" "Gentlemen", continued the Officer, "Every time the training gets tougher, one thought comes to your mind, 'Why Must I Serve National Service?' "My answer to you is, 'If Not You, Then Who Else?'" Wow!  What a powerful phrase!  If Not You, Who Else may mean: You are the most suitable person, and we can't find anyone better than you.  This is appreciation at the highest level How can you push this responsibility to someone else? I am making a request to you specifically, please don't reject my request Can you find me another person more suitable than you? Please refer me anot...
