Many people can quote a famous line from Lao Zi's Dao De Ching:
But many misunderstand it.
What he meant is simple:
There is a famous Chinese story called “Pulling Up the Seedlings to Help Them Grow.”
Our careers, relationships, and personal growth work the same way.
The more we try to control everything,
True wisdom is not about controlling the world.
This is what I call Love Intelligence (LQ).
Love Intelligence is not weakness.
Instead of forcing people,
Instead of controlling relationships,
Instead of fighting reality,
When you stop trying to twist the world with brute force,
This is the wisdom of Laozi.
Because machines can process information.

“Wu Wei Er Wu Bu Wei.”
(Do nothing, yet nothing is left undone.)
But many misunderstand it.
They think Laozi is telling us to do nothing.
If that were true, people would simply starve.
That is not what Laozi meant.
What he meant is simple:
Do not act against the natural laws of things.
There is a famous Chinese story called “Pulling Up the Seedlings to Help Them Grow.”
A farmer thought his crops were growing too slowly.
So he went into the field and pulled each seedling slightly upward.
The next day, all the plants were dead.
The problem was not that the farmer did nothing.
The problem was that he interfered with the natural rhythm of growth.
Our careers, relationships, and personal growth work the same way.
Laozi also said:
“Those who force things will fail. Those who grasp tightly will lose.”
The more we try to control everything,
the more things fall apart.
True wisdom is not about controlling the world.
It is about understanding the natural laws of life and working with them.
This is what I call Love Intelligence (LQ).
Love Intelligence is not weakness.
It is a higher level of power.
Instead of forcing people,
you inspire them.
Instead of controlling relationships,
you nurture them.
Instead of fighting reality,
you align with it.
When you stop trying to twist the world with brute force,
the world begins to open for you.
This is the wisdom of Laozi.
And in the AI era, it may be one of the most important human capabilities we have.
Because machines can process information.
But they cannot replace wisdom, trust, and genuine human connection.
If you want to understand how Love Intelligence can transform your leadership, relationships, and success in the modern world, I invite you to explore my book: Love Intelligence: A guide to staying deeply human, influential, and valuable in an age of machines.
