How to Avoid Being Cheated by Real Cheaters

Today I want to talk about this thing called how to avoid being cheated

Many people know how a cheater looks and talks.  But not many people know that most cheaters do not do what you think cheaters do.

For example, the real cheater would not tell lies. In fact, he speaks nothing but the truth.  But his truths are twisted truths and most of the time they tried to make a mountain out of a molehill.

Another thing is the real cheater would follow rules from A-Z.  He would cheat behind the scenes and do things that people do not realize.

One more thing: real cheaters are very polite and obedient.  In fact, if they are your employee, you would consider them as one of your model employees.

Let me relate it to you my experience from my client that I did training for them back in the year 2009.  I remember out of my 8 trainees one lady stood out from the rest.  She is very hardworking, she's the first to arrive in the training room and the last to leave. She asked the most questions and do all the things that the trainer asked

After the training my client the boss asked me to give him an opinion of how his employees fared.  I told him that that lady is my top trainee and I think she is also his top employee. My client agreed and said he felt he was very lucky to have such a good employee.

In 2011 I met my client again and asked him about his business.  He told me that one of his employees took away a substantial portion of his business and put many of the company’s projects under her own company.  He told me that she worked very late every night to put the company’s deals all under her own company when she is alone in the office.  I was shocked to hear that that employee was the lady that we both considered as the top employee in 2009.  My client asked me how did this happen.  I told him that she is a real cheater that cheats without anybody realizing.

My client asked me how to prevent such incidents from happening again. I told him we have to learn to be smart and not be fooled by people who behave properly and everything done correctly from A-Z.  I explained to him that human beings are not perfect, if anyone is behaving perfectly at work that person must be a cheater.

It is just like diamonds: the real diamonds are with flaws and they're very expensive.  Those fake diamonds are very perfect but they are actually cheap but the cheaters would sell them as real expensive diamonds.

If Not You, Who Else?

I learnt this very powerful 5-word phrase from Singapore's highest ever box-office movie ever: "Ah Boys to Men II". In one scene, the recruits were about to start their 3-day field camp.  Their Officer-in-Command asked them, "Before we moved out, anybody not feeling well?"  All the soldiers replied loudly, "No Sir!!!" "Gentlemen", continued the Officer, "Every time the training gets tougher, one thought comes to your mind, 'Why Must I Serve National Service?' "My answer to you is, 'If Not You, Then Who Else?'" Wow!  What a powerful phrase!  If Not You, Who Else may mean: You are the most suitable person, and we can't find anyone better than you.  This is appreciation at the highest level How can you push this responsibility to someone else? I am making a request to you specifically, please don't reject my request Can you find me another person more suitable than you? Please refer me anot...

Kindness as a Way of Life: How Kindness can Reward You 6 Times Over

Kindness as a Way of Life by Andy Ng Kindness is a universal language that transcends cultural boundaries, enriches human connections, and has the power to transform lives. It goes beyond mere acts of charity or random good deeds. To me, kindness, when practiced as a way of life, becomes a profound philosophy that can shape our interactions with others, the world around us, and even our own well-being. In this article, we will explore the multifaceted aspects of kindness as a way of life, touching on non-violent communication, the limitations of traditional charity, the potential harms of helping, the deliberate cultivation of kindness, and the incredible rewards it brings. 1.       Non-Violent Communication Non-violent communication (NVC) is a key component of practicing kindness as a way of life. Developed by Marshall B. Rosenberg, NVC emphasizes empathetic communication that seeks to understand and connect with others on a deeper level. It encourages ...
