30-Min Podcast: Love Intelligence (LQ): Your Vital Skill in the AI Age

Q1. Everyone talks about AI, skills, and success. Why are you talking about Love?

Answer:
Because AI has made everyone sound smart.

Today, information is everywhere. Answers are cheap.
But trust? Very expensive.

In the past, people asked:
“Are you capable?”

Today, they ask:
“Can I trust you… when things go wrong?”

That’s where Love Intelligence comes in.

Love Intelligence is not about romance.
It’s about how you build trust, influence decisions, and create real value, especially when there is uncertainty, pressure, and people involved.

Q2. What is broken in today’s workplace or business world?

Answer:
Three things are breaking down:

  1. Trust is declining
People don’t believe what they see anymore, because AI can generate anything.
  2. People are becoming mechanical
They follow systems, KPIs, scripts… but they stop thinking and feeling.
  3. Success is becoming empty
People win, but they lose relationships, health, and meaning.

So the real problem is not a lack of intelligence.

It is a lack of human intelligence.

Q3. You use the term “humanoid.” What does that mean?

Answer:
A humanoid is not a robot.

It is a human… who behaves like a robot.

For example:

  • They assume instead of understanding
  • They follow rules without judgment
  • They focus only on efficiency, not people

In short, they have IQ, maybe EQ… but no LQ.

And in the AI era, humanoids will be replaced first.

Q4. So what exactly is Love Intelligence (LQ)?

Answer:
Love Intelligence is the ability to create value through trust, courage, and connection.

It is built on 3Cs:

  • Care – Do you genuinely consider people and outcomes?
  • Courage – Can you make difficult decisions and have hard conversations?
  • Connection – Can you align people, even in conflict?

LQ is what allows you to:

  • Win without fighting
  • Influence without forcing
  • Lead without burning out

Q5. How is LQ different from EQ or soft skills?

Answer:
EQ helps you understand emotions.

LQ helps you act with integrity under pressure.

For example:

  • EQ may help you stay calm
  • LQ helps you decide what is right, even if it is difficult

LQ is not about feeling good.

It is about doing what creates long-term value.

Q6. Can LQ really create wealth?

Answer:
Yes, and this is where most people misunderstand wealth.

Wealth is not just money.

Wealth is:

  • Trust
  • Opportunities
  • Relationships
  • Timing

Let me give you a simple example.

Two salespeople:

  • One pushes aggressively → closes fast, loses clients later
  • One builds trust → slower, but gets referrals and repeat business

Over time, who becomes wealthier?

LQ converts trust into long-term income.

Q7. Can you give a real business example of LQ in action?

Answer:
Let’s take leadership.

A manager sees a poor-performing staff.

A humanoid manager says:
“You are not hitting KPI. Improve.”

An LQ leader asks:
“What is happening behind this performance?”

That one question:

  • Builds trust
  • Uncovers real issues
  • Solves the root problem

Same situation. Completely different outcome.

Q8. How can someone start applying LQ immediately?

Answer:
Very simple. Start with this daily practice:

Before any decision, ask 3 questions:

  1. Care – Who is affected by this?
  2. Courage – What is the right thing, not the easy thing?
  3. Connection – How do I align people instead of dividing them?

If you do this daily, your decisions will change.

And your results will follow.

Q9. How does LQ help people stay relevant in the AI era?

Answer:
AI can do many things.

But it cannot:

  • Take responsibility
  • Build trust over time
  • Make moral decisions
  • Handle complex human conflict

These are LQ domains.

So the future is not:
AI vs Humans

It is:
AI + Humans with high LQ

If you don’t develop LQ, you compete with AI.
If you do, you lead AI.

Q10. If listeners take away one thing today, what should it be?

Answer:
Stop trying to be more impressive.

Start becoming more trustworthy.

Because in the AI era:
Skills get you noticed.
But trust gets you paid.

And Love Intelligence is how you build that trust.

Q11. Where can people learn more or start?

Answer:
If this resonates with you, start with my book:

How I Became a Fortune Teller: Leveraging NLP, Fear and Greed, and Motivational Theories

Becoming a fortune teller wasn’t part of my childhood dreams. It started as an experiment, fueled by my curiosity about human behavior and the subtle forces that drive our decisions. Over time, what began as a study of psychology and human interaction evolved into an unexpected career—one where I use the tools of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), the primal drivers of fear and greed, and motivational theories to help people uncover their paths. The First Step: Understanding the Human Psyche I was always fascinated by why people do what they do. During my university years, I studied psychology, particularly the works of Abraham Maslow, B.F. Skinner, and Victor Vroom. Their theories provided insights into motivation, reinforcement, and decision-making. But I wanted to move beyond the academic realm and see how these theories worked in real life. Around this time, I discovered NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). This framework for understanding communication and behavior is based on the...

If Not You, Who Else?

I learnt this very powerful 5-word phrase from Singapore's highest ever box-office movie ever: "Ah Boys to Men II". In one scene, the recruits were about to start their 3-day field camp.  Their Officer-in-Command asked them, "Before we moved out, anybody not feeling well?"  All the soldiers replied loudly, "No Sir!!!" "Gentlemen", continued the Officer, "Every time the training gets tougher, one thought comes to your mind, 'Why Must I Serve National Service?' "My answer to you is, 'If Not You, Then Who Else?'" Wow!  What a powerful phrase!  If Not You, Who Else may mean: You are the most suitable person, and we can't find anyone better than you.  This is appreciation at the highest level How can you push this responsibility to someone else? I am making a request to you specifically, please don't reject my request Can you find me another person more suitable than you? Please refer me anot...
