Flying Without Wings: Create Wealth with LQ

The song "Flying Without Wings" is actually a beautiful expression of what I would call Love Intelligence (LQ), even though it never uses the term.

The song is not really about romance.

It is about discovering the deeper things that give life meaning.

That is exactly what Love Intelligence seeks to do.

1. Care: Seeing What Truly Matters

The song begins by saying:

Everybody's looking for that something
One thing that makes it all complete.

Many people spend their lives chasing:

  • money, status, promotions, possessions

Yet the song reminds us that fulfillment is often found in:

  • a child's face
  • a loved one's eyes
  • friendship
  • shared moments
  • simple experiences

This is Care.

Love Intelligence begins when we pay attention to what is truly valuable instead of what is merely visible.

A high-LQ person notices:

  • the people around them
  • the beauty in ordinary moments
  • the emotions beneath the surface

2. Courage: Fighting for What Makes Life Meaningful

The song contains one powerful line:

You've got to fight for every dream.

This is Courage.

Love is not passive.

To love:

  • a spouse for decades
  • a child through difficulties
  • a team through challenges
  • a mission through setbacks

requires courage.

In Love Intelligence, Courage is:

  • doing the right thing
  • speaking the truth
  • staying committed
  • persevering when things become difficult

Many people pursue comfort.

Few pursue meaning.

The song reminds us that meaningful things are worth fighting for.

3. Connection: The Real Source of Happiness

Throughout the song, happiness comes from connection:

  • lovers, children, friendship, shared mornings, simple conversations

This is the third C: Connection.

In today's AI world:

  • information is abundant
  • content is abundant
  • technology is abundant

But genuine connection is becoming rare.

And yet connection is what gives life its richness.

A high-LQ person understands:

Love turns transactions into encounters.

The song is celebrating those encounters.

4. "Flying Without Wings" Is Actually an LQ Moment

The title itself is fascinating.

What does it mean to fly without wings?

It means experiencing a state where:

  • life feels meaningful
  • your heart feels full
  • you are connected to something greater than yourself

You are lifted without needing external success.

That is very close to what Love Intelligence seeks to cultivate.

Not happiness because:

  • you got richer, you got promoted, you became famous

But happiness because:

  • you loved
  • you cared
  • you connected
  • you appreciated

The Deeper LQ Lesson

Most people think wealth creates happiness.

The song suggests the opposite.

The people who discover those meaningful moments are already wealthy.

Not necessarily financially.

But wealthy in: relationships, gratitude, purpose, emotional fulfillment

That is why I often say:

Love Intelligence creates real wealth.

Because when you have Care, Courage, and Connection, you experience something money alone cannot buy.

You experience what the song calls:

"Flying Without Wings."

And perhaps that is the ultimate message of both the song and Love Intelligence:

The richest people are not those who possess the most.
They are those who appreciate the most, love the most, and connect the deepest.

How I Became a Fortune Teller: Leveraging NLP, Fear and Greed, and Motivational Theories

Becoming a fortune teller wasn’t part of my childhood dreams. It started as an experiment, fueled by my curiosity about human behavior and the subtle forces that drive our decisions. Over time, what began as a study of psychology and human interaction evolved into an unexpected career—one where I use the tools of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), the primal drivers of fear and greed, and motivational theories to help people uncover their paths. The First Step: Understanding the Human Psyche I was always fascinated by why people do what they do. During my university years, I studied psychology, particularly the works of Abraham Maslow, B.F. Skinner, and Victor Vroom. Their theories provided insights into motivation, reinforcement, and decision-making. But I wanted to move beyond the academic realm and see how these theories worked in real life. Around this time, I discovered NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). This framework for understanding communication and behavior is based on the...

If Not You, Who Else?

I learnt this very powerful 5-word phrase from Singapore's highest ever box-office movie ever: "Ah Boys to Men II". In one scene, the recruits were about to start their 3-day field camp.  Their Officer-in-Command asked them, "Before we moved out, anybody not feeling well?"  All the soldiers replied loudly, "No Sir!!!" "Gentlemen", continued the Officer, "Every time the training gets tougher, one thought comes to your mind, 'Why Must I Serve National Service?' "My answer to you is, 'If Not You, Then Who Else?'" Wow!  What a powerful phrase!  If Not You, Who Else may mean: You are the most suitable person, and we can't find anyone better than you.  This is appreciation at the highest level How can you push this responsibility to someone else? I am making a request to you specifically, please don't reject my request Can you find me another person more suitable than you? Please refer me anot...
