How to Get What You Want with Love Intelligence (LQ)

When asked about the success of the hit movie Dear You, director Lan Hongchun gave a surprisingly simple answer.

He said he only wanted to make a good movie that could resonate with people.

He was not thinking about fame. He was not chasing awards. He was not obsessed with box-office numbers.

He simply wanted to create something genuine and meaningful.

Ironically, that may be precisely why the movie touched so many hearts.

There is a powerful lesson here.

Many people spend their lives chasing outcomes.

They chase wealth, recognition, influence, sales, promotions, followers, and success.

Yet the harder they chase, the further these things seem to move away.

Love Intelligence teaches a different approach.

If you want to resonate with people, you must first resonate with yourself.

You must be aligned with your values. Aligned with your purpose.

Aligned with what you truly care about.

When your thoughts, words, feelings, and actions are consistent, something remarkable happens.

People can feel it. They trust you. They connect with you.

Not because of your techniques, but because of your authenticity.

This is why some speakers move audiences while others merely deliver information.

Why some leaders inspire loyalty while others rely on authority.

Why some businesses create raving fans while others compete only on price.

The difference is resonance.

And resonance begins within.

In Love Intelligence, this is the power of the 3Cs.

  • Care about something bigger than yourself.
  • Courage to stay true to your values.
  • Connection that naturally emerges when people sense your sincerity.

Paradoxically, the more you focus on serving, the more success follows.

The more you focus on contribution, the more influence grows.

The more you focus on creating value, the more rewards arrive.

Not always immediately.

But often more sustainably than if you had pursued them directly.

The movie Dear You reminds us that the deepest human need is not information, entertainment, or even success.

The deepest human need is connection.

And connection cannot be manufactured.  It can only be felt.

So if you want people to believe in you, trust you, buy from you, follow you, or support your vision, start here:

Resonate with yourself first.

Because when your heart is aligned with your purpose, your actions carry a different energy.

And when you genuinely connect with yourself, you gain the ability to connect with others.

That is the hidden secret of Love Intelligence.

Stop chasing people.

Start resonating with people.

And what you truly seek may begin to come to you.

How I Became a Fortune Teller: Leveraging NLP, Fear and Greed, and Motivational Theories

Becoming a fortune teller wasn’t part of my childhood dreams. It started as an experiment, fueled by my curiosity about human behavior and the subtle forces that drive our decisions. Over time, what began as a study of psychology and human interaction evolved into an unexpected career—one where I use the tools of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), the primal drivers of fear and greed, and motivational theories to help people uncover their paths. The First Step: Understanding the Human Psyche I was always fascinated by why people do what they do. During my university years, I studied psychology, particularly the works of Abraham Maslow, B.F. Skinner, and Victor Vroom. Their theories provided insights into motivation, reinforcement, and decision-making. But I wanted to move beyond the academic realm and see how these theories worked in real life. Around this time, I discovered NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). This framework for understanding communication and behavior is based on the...

If Not You, Who Else?

I learnt this very powerful 5-word phrase from Singapore's highest ever box-office movie ever: "Ah Boys to Men II". In one scene, the recruits were about to start their 3-day field camp.  Their Officer-in-Command asked them, "Before we moved out, anybody not feeling well?"  All the soldiers replied loudly, "No Sir!!!" "Gentlemen", continued the Officer, "Every time the training gets tougher, one thought comes to your mind, 'Why Must I Serve National Service?' "My answer to you is, 'If Not You, Then Who Else?'" Wow!  What a powerful phrase!  If Not You, Who Else may mean: You are the most suitable person, and we can't find anyone better than you.  This is appreciation at the highest level How can you push this responsibility to someone else? I am making a request to you specifically, please don't reject my request Can you find me another person more suitable than you? Please refer me anot...
